Right now...so I was online for many hours and I searched on the search engines and checked many well known sites in my quest to decide for myself which is the greatest of the three contenders: Merf, Moo, or Spoon. Now it was a long hard decision and much deliberation in my highly analytical mind took place. My vast wisdom, intelligence, and sexiness all played roles in my final conclusion that Spoon is in fact the triumphant noise. It is Spoon that is truly the sound of Cod. Here is why I think so:
Now Moo is a powerful word indeed. It has its ties to McBetsy, one of the Trinity, the Holy Spook as it were. However, how it came to be a major contender for this coveted title is beyond me. It roots are those of a groaning cow. Now, do we really want our faith associated with bovines. Now McBetsy is all good and well and all cows inhabited by McBetsy are A-OK in my book. However, beyond that, cows are just smelly and stupid animals...much like many of you Moo people out there.
Spoon was a terribly hard word to track down possible meanings and orgins of. I found many ludacris ideas concerning wood chips and the like. However, after elluding me for some time, much like life's great and wonderous truths often do, I found from a credible source (Webster if you must know) the true origin of the word Spoon. Drum roll please...wait for it...wait for it...here it comes...you know you want to see it...the true root...is...Cod's word! No, but that would be convienent. In fact, it is a derivative of the word spume, which means "Foam or froth on a liquid, as on the sea." The soup and such eaten with the utensil produced this name. As you can see, it has reference to the sea. Sea=fish=cod. And we all know Cod likes to fornicate...thus the foam part. I think you should be able to draw your own conclusions from there...unless of course you are a Moo person, in which case, you are to continue grazing and try not to think about what I have said lest your head explode.
